FIFA's New Letter to the Football Federation

FIFA’s new letter to the Football Federation

A new letter has been sent from FIFA to the Football Federation

According to this letter, federations can no longer rely on FIFA’s assistance to pay their foreign coaches’ salaries or request that foreign coaches’ salaries be paid from their revenues held by FIFA. Previously, the Football Federation sent a letter requesting Carlos Queiroz’s salary to be paid from its claims, but FIFA announced that it would no longer do this for any national federations. This was very beneficial for the Iranian Football Federation because transferring money to the Iranian Football Federation was impossible due to U.S. Treasury sanctions, and thus, Iran used its revenues held by FIFA.
