Football Federation’s response to the statements of Persepolis Club’s CEO
The Football Federation published a statement in response to the statements of the Persepolis Club’s CEO.
The Football Federation’s website wrote on this matter: The Football Federation, as the custodian of the country’s football, always considers itself a supporter of club teams and has defended the legitimate rights of football, the most important of which has been the payment of TV broadcasting rights. This policy is more emphasized regarding Iranian teams present in the AFC Champions League, and the Federation has provided its advisory opinions over the past years to remove obstacles to participating in the AFC Champions League and has given the necessary support for a strong presence in Asia to our country’s representatives in Asia.
Therefore, the Federation considers itself obliged to maintain neutrality and implement legal requirements, but it always has a supportive and national outlook towards the clubs present in Asia. In this regard, it makes efforts to increase the clubs’ income through legal means, as the biggest problem for our country’s clubs to shine in Asia is the lack of sustainable income from legal sources in world football.
