The former spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs downplayed the unrest regarding the JCPOA.
Ramin Mehmanparast stated that we have witnessed unprecedented and rare explicit and public stances from Western officials towards our country, something that is not customary in their diplomatic issues and happens less frequently.
These matters indicated that the Western side does not truly prioritize the JCPOA as their first priority under normal circumstances.
If we want to have the upper hand, we naturally need to discourage the Western side from pursuing economic pressures.
Both the Iranian side wishes for an agreement to be reached and the restrictions to be lifted, as do the Western parties.
There is still room for renewed negotiations and reaching a potential agreement, although it may be weaker compared to before.
Regarding the death of the JCPOA, in my opinion, this is an American slogan. The JCPOA will never die as long as there is an opportunity for cooperation on an international level.
