France Condemns Iran's Ballistic Missile Tests

France condemned Iran’s ballistic missile tests

The French government condemned the test of the latest version of Iran’s long-range ballistic missiles, considering it a violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231, which was approved in 2015.

The French Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced on Thursday, May 25, that these activities are more concerning amid ongoing tensions regarding Iran’s nuclear program.

Hours before, the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Defense announced the construction and testing of a new ballistic missile from the Khorramshahr missile family, naming it Kheibar.

In a ceremony held to showcase the Kheibar missile, which was broadcast live on Iranian state television, military officials placed the missile next to a model of the Dome of the Rock in the old city of Jerusalem, which seems to be a threatening message to Israel.
