Guardian Council Validates Second Round of Elections

The Guardian Council confirmed the validity of the second round of elections.

Hadi Tahan Nazif stated in a television interview that the review of the election’s validity was completed a few hours ago in the Guardian Council, and the validity of the second round of the fourteenth presidential elections was confirmed by the Guardian Council.

He continued by saying that this matter was officially announced to the Ministry of Interior as the executor of the elections.

The spokesperson of the Guardian Council emphasized that we had contacts and follow-ups with the election candidates who did not present any violations or complaints to us. Also, we did not receive any significant reports from the public that would affect the election results. Therefore, with the reviews we conducted, the election’s validity was confirmed by the Guardian Council.

According to this report, the credentials of Masoud Pezeshkian, the president-elect, have also been prepared by the members of the Guardian Council and will be sent to the Leader’s office for the endorsement of the presidential decree.
