The head of the Home Appliances Sellers Union says 90% of people no longer buy new home appliances.
Akbar Pazouki, the head of the Home Appliances Sellers Union, says that 90% of people repair their previous home appliances and no longer buy new ones.
Akbar Pazouki told the Etemad newspaper that in the current market situation, both sellers and buyers are facing financial problems.
According to Mr. Pazouki, people mostly buy on installment from large stores, and as a result, city shopkeepers and small retailers are facing a decrease in the number of customers and sales volume.
Akbar Pazouki also mentioned the increase in home appliance prices, saying that some stores, due to restrictions on NIMA exchange currency payments, raise their prices without authorization from the Consumer Protection Organization, do not provide a price list, and do not upload them on the 124 system, leaving people unaware of how much more expensive they have bought these goods.
