Hospital Director Warns About the Start of Rotavirus Outbreak

On Saturday, April 29, the director of Ali Asghar Children’s Hospital announced the start of a rotavirus outbreak among children in Tehran. Farhad Choobdar, in an interview with ISNA, stated that the epidemic of diarrhea and vomiting had been predicted earlier. He added that the issue has been reported to the Health Deputy and the Ministry of Health officials. Mr. Choobdar confirmed the start of this virus outbreak, at least in Tehran, and urged families to consult a doctor if symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting appear, as this virus causes the most severe type of viral diarrhea and vomiting.
