Increase in the Age of Homeownership Expectation for Salaried Employees in Iran

A member of the Iranian Parliament has reported that the age of expectation for people to become homeowners has increased to 90 years.

Mojtaba Yousefi, a member of the Presidium of the Iranian Parliament, says that if salaried employees and civil servants save all their income, they can become homeowners after 40 years. However, considering that they can save only one-third of their income for purchasing a house, the waiting period to buy a home extends to more than 90 years.
