Iran Customs Bans Import of Mobile Phones with Apple Brand

Iranian customs has banned the import of mobile phones with the Apple brand.

The Import Office of Iranian Customs, in a circular, mentioned the prohibition of importing the Apple brand and announced a 96% tariff if the ban is lifted.

Alireza Sadri Khah, the Director General of the Import Office of Customs, announced in a circular to the executive customs offices regarding the import of mobile phones that the import of smartphones with the Apple brand has been declared prohibited, and if the entry ban is lifted by the competent authorities, the commercial profit rate will be set at 96%.
