The International Energy Agency states that Iran produces only 0.9% of OPEC’s oil.
The International Energy Agency released a report stating that Iran’s oil production in the past February (January 31 to February 28, 2023) increased by 20,000 barrels, equivalent to 0.7%, reaching 2.65 million barrels per day.
This international body announced that the total oil production of OPEC in the second month of the current year was 29.17 million barrels per day, with Iran’s share being only 0.9% of it.
According to this report, Algeria, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Libya also saw an increase in oil production in the second month of 2023. Among them, Saudi Arabia’s oil production increased by 60,000 barrels per day in the past February, reaching 10.47 million barrels per day.
Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait are the largest oil producers in OPEC, collectively holding 71.1% of its production.
