IRNA News Agency has reported that considering the mutation of the COVID-19 virus and the emergence of new variants in some countries and certain parts of Iran, along with the incomplete vaccination program, the arrival of cold weather, and the lack of adherence to health protocols, concerns about a new wave of COVID-19 outbreaks have increased.
The news agency has written that the Ministry of Health officials have warned about the start of the eighth wave of COVID-19 after observing three cases of new sub-variants in Iran.
The news agency, quoting health officials, has reported that the new wave of COVID-19 began in Iran from this past Saturday, and although this wave is weaker compared to the seventh wave that occurred in the summer, it is necessary for the public to follow health protocols and for hospitals and medical staff to be on full alert to combat it.
