The Javan newspaper criticized the increase in welfare for government employees.
The conservative Javan newspaper criticized what it called the increase in welfare for government employees.
The newspaper claimed that costly government expenditures, an inflation of the workforce in the public sector, and some salary and wage increases beyond the government’s capacity are the main damages that both make the government inefficient and increase its costs disproportionately.
Government officials should bear in mind that the national treasury and resources belong to 85 million Iranians and should not be thought of as solely intended to satisfy a few million government employees and retirees.
If welfare is to be provided from public resources, it should not only be for the managers and employees of the government; the rest of the people are also entitled to it, with the most important welfare measures for the general public being the increase in purchasing power and reduction of inflation.
