Kianoush Sanjari summoned to court

Kianoush Sanjari has been summoned to court.

Kianoush Sanjari, a freelance journalist, has reported his summons to the Islamic Revolutionary Court.

Having been arrested and imprisoned multiple times in recent years, he posted a picture of the summons on his personal Twitter account on Thursday, 21st of Dey, stating that he has been summoned to Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court for the 9th of Bahman.

After the start of anti-government protests in 1401 (2022) in Iran, Sanjari was interrogated at Evin Prison’s Branch 1 on the 23rd of Aban. He was then arrested, charged, and transferred to Evin Prison. He was released a few days later on temporary bail.
