Make America Great Again and Fill Trump’s Pockets
During his presidency and the 2020 election campaign, Donald Trump shamelessly and without any hesitation made every effort to funnel money from his campaigns and those of Republican congressional and state office candidates into his own accounts.
The campaign activities and the Republican Party committee were focused on holding events at Trump’s hotels and clubs, which naturally meant that the rental fees and benefits of hosting programs and celebrations went into Trump’s accounts.
Ronna McDaniel, the former committee chair, did everything she could to please Trump by focusing the party on using Trump’s establishments, hotels, and clubs. Now, reports of election financial transactions and Trump’s business statements have shown that this trend has intensified over the years. Bernie Moreno, a Republican Senate candidate in Ohio, spent tens of thousands of dollars at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club before securing the party’s nomination and gained Trump’s support for the party’s candidacy.
After that, Moreno also held several events and made several payments of tens of thousands of dollars to Trump. Kari Lake, a Republican Senate candidate in Arizona, has spent over a hundred thousand dollars at Trump’s establishments under various pretexts.
Other candidates have also tried this strategy to gain Trump’s favor. However, no candidate has made more payments to Trump’s establishments than Trump himself. He has paid over 28 million dollars from his campaign funds to his own businesses.
He has charged his campaign for election programs hosted at Trump’s establishments. Renting his private plane for the elections is just one of the minor expense items from which he has also made money.
