The Minister of Economy attributes the increase in currency prices to malicious individuals

The Minister of Economy says that the increase in currency prices is due to malicious individuals.

Ehsan Khandouzi, the Minister of Economy and Finance of Iran, says that malicious individuals have caused an increase in currency prices through fear-mongering and creating inflationary expectations among the Iranian people.

He stated in a press conference that Telegram channels and gambling channels created numbers that had no correlation with the country’s reality and led to certain behaviors internally.

Yesterday, the exchange rate of the dollar in Iran exceeded fifty thousand tomans, and the exchange rates of other currencies and gold also reached unprecedented figures.

Today, the sale of currency with the national card has been suspended, and instead, a government center called the Currency and Gold Exchange will start operating. The unveiling of this center took place today.
