New European Union Sanctions Against the Islamic Republic

The European Union is imposing new sanctions on the Islamic Republic due to the sending of suicide drones to Russia for targeting civilian facilities and residential areas in Ukraine.

According to the new sanctions package published on the European Council’s website on Wednesday, February 15, seven entities associated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps will be added to the list of sanctioned dual-use goods.

Thus, the buying and selling of goods that have both civilian and military applications with these entities will be prohibited.
