Niloufar Hamedi asked Farhad Meysami to end his hunger strike

Niloufar Hamedi, a detained journalist, demanded an end to Farhad Meysami’s hunger strike in response to his severe weight loss. This request was made in an audio message released by Mohammad Hossein Ajjarlo, his spouse.

In this audio file, Ms. Hamedi stated, ‘You, who have repeatedly used your body as a shield to defend collective demands, are aware and vigilant. However, it is the least you can do to end the hunger strike for the sake of your life, which has been endangered. Let us celebrate the imminent dawn of freedom for all political prisoners, shoulder to shoulder, standing tall against this shameful and disgraceful threshold of events.’
