No Bank Has the Right to Take House Deeds for Rent Loans

No bank has the right to take a house deed for paying a rental loan.

The Director General of Roads and Urban Development of Tehran Province told the media that no bank has the right to request a house deed from applicants for housing deposit facilities. If banks are found to take house deeds from applicants for rental deposit loans, they will be dealt with according to the law immediately.

Mohabbatkhah added that according to the cabinet’s resolution, banks should not require a guarantor or collateral for providing such facilities.

It is noteworthy that yesterday it was mentioned on social media that banks are requesting house deeds from applicants for housing deposit facilities, which has caused dissatisfaction among the applicants.
