Parliament Member: Increase in Electricity and Gas Bills is Illegal

A member of parliament says the increase in electricity and gas bills is illegal.

Moradi, a member of the parliament’s energy commission, stated that following the Speaker of the Parliament’s directive to the energy commission regarding the increase in gas and electricity bills in certain areas, the commission will conduct a comprehensive review.

It seems that the Ministry of Energy has defined its own regulations and, based on that, has arbitrarily increased prices in some places, which is against the law.

The bills issued for households in cold and hot regions are truly staggering, to the point where the bills issued for households do not match their income.
