Parviz Parastui's Reaction to Amir-Abdollahian's Remarks: It's Not Bad to Also Glance at Internal Neighbors

Parviz Parastouei’s reaction to Amir-Abdollahian’s remarks: It wouldn’t hurt to also pay some attention to our internal neighbors.

Parviz Parastouei reacted to Amir Abdollahian’s statements about Afghanistan on his Instagram page and requested the Iranian Foreign Minister to also pay some attention to our internal neighbors.

According to reports, at the Samarkand meeting, the Iranian Foreign Minister spoke with the Taliban delegation about the unresolved issue of drugs despite 20 years of U.S. presence and the necessity for serious control of drug trafficking through Afghanistan’s borders to neighboring countries. He expressed concern about depriving Afghan women and girls of education and announced Iran’s readiness to help resolve this issue.

In response to these remarks, Parviz Parastouei wrote that in Iran, there are over 12 million drug addicts, with four and a half million being regular users, and 10 percent of the addicts are women, with thousands of them being children.

Mr. Parastouei further wrote that seventy percent of Iranian compatriots, including women, men, girls, and children in the deprived regions of Sistan and Baluchestan, lack identification documents.
