Resignation of the Chairman of Al-Ahli Bank of Saudi Arabia

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahli Bank resigned after Saudi Arabia lost a significant portion of its investment in Credit Suisse.

In a statement, Al-Ahli Bank of Saudi Arabia announced that Imad Al-Khudairi is stepping down from his position for personal reasons, to be replaced by Saeed Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, the bank’s CEO.

Al-Khudairi’s resignation came a few days after his remarks about not investing further in the Swiss bank led Credit’s shares to reach their lowest level.
