Statement of European JCPOA members: Iran’s actions in developing its nuclear program have no civilian justification
The three European countries that are members of the JCPOA announced, following the report of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency to the Board of Governors of this international body regarding the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran, that Iran’s actions in developing its atomic program have no civilian justification.
According to the joint statement by Germany, the United Kingdom, and France, the European members of the JCPOA, which was published on the UK Foreign Ministry’s website on Tuesday, June 6, no fundamental change is observed in the behavior of the Islamic Republic.
The statement adds that in recent months, Iran has continuously escalated tensions surrounding its nuclear program, which has no civilian justification, and contrary to the joint statement announced with the International Atomic Energy Agency in March, it has shown little willingness to clarify its nuclear activities.
