The Battle Between Mokhber and Raisi in the Government

The battle between Mokhber and Raisi in the government, according to an exclusive report by Iran Gate, the crisis of rising currency prices became a valuable opportunity for the First Vice President. Given his closeness to prominent members of the Leader’s office, like Seyyed Asghar Hejazi, the order for cabinet economic changes and reforms was issued by the Leader of the Islamic Republic.

This mission, with ceremonial consultation with Raisi, was assigned to Mokhber. Today, the first reshuffle in the cabinet took place to fulfill this mission. Saleh Abadi bid farewell to the glass building of Mirdamad, and his seat was taken by Mohammad Reza Farzin.

Mohammad Reza Farzin, who is close to Mokhber, was one of his economic men on the board of directors of financial companies of the Executive Headquarters and was the CEO of Bank Karafarin, belonging to the Executive Headquarters, during the time when Mokhber was still part of the Executive Headquarters of Imam’s Order.

At the beginning of the government, Mokhber made significant efforts to position Farzin in one of the two key roles of Minister of Economy or Governor of the Central Bank, but he couldn’t succeed and sent Farzin to Bank Melli to make the CEO position of the largest state-owned bank a launching pad for Farzin, which it did.

However, it seems this is not the end of the battle, and Mokhber and Farzin might, in the coming days, with measures like currency injection and market control, manage to impose the correctness of their decision and the necessity to continue economic cabinet reform on the President, and with stronger backing and support from the Leader’s office than before, take the next step to seize the Ministry of Economy.

Considering the deep rift between Mokhber and Khandoozi, it is not far-fetched that soon another important economic seat in the government will be claimed by Mokhber’s team. This power struggle will certainly and undoubtedly make the difficult living conditions even harder for the people.

It seems the Imam Sadeghi front in the power struggle over economic seats has lost ground to Mokhber. Raisi quickly showed that without unconventional support and help, like during the elections, he lacks significant managerial capability, and now he faces even tougher days ahead.
