The Iranian rice market couldn't get any worse

The Iranian rice market couldn’t be worse.

One of the rice sellers, in an interview with the Young Journalists Club, described the rice market as terrible due to the high prices of rice. He says:

It couldn’t be worse. Most farmers have processed their paddy into rice at the mills, and when they want to sell, there are no buyers because they set a high price for the rice. The production cost is so high that the farmer is forced to propose these figures. The cost of pesticides, fertilizers, labor, and renting agricultural machinery has increased so much that the rice grower cannot offer a lower price. After all, he has a life to live, and his income comes from this work. The price the farmer proposes for each kilogram of Tarom rice is 100 to 120 thousand tomans, but the price that the wholesaler wants is 80 to 85 thousand tomans, which is the reason for the halt in buying and selling the new rice.
