The song ‘Daie Daie’ during wartime has been registered by UNESCO.
A member of the expert committee of the National Council for the Registration of Intangible Cultural Heritage announced the registration of the song ‘Daie Daie’ during wartime and the musical instrument ‘Chagour’ in the national list of intangible cultural heritage.
Behrouz Vojdani, referring to the outcome of the expert committee meeting of the National Council for the Registration of Intangible Cultural Heritage, which was held on Wednesday, 11th of Bahman at the General Office for the Registration, Preservation, and Revitalization of Intangible Cultural and Natural Heritage of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, stated that out of about 30 cases that were submitted for registration by five provinces, two cases, the song ‘Daie Daie’ during wartime from Lorestan province and the construction and playing technique of the ‘Chagour’ instrument from Markazi province, are related to the field of music and have been registered in the national list of intangible cultural heritage.
