The User Protection Plan in Cyberspace was approved
Hassan Nowrouzi, the Vice President of the Joint Commission for Reviewing the User Protection Plan, announced that this plan has been approved by the Joint Commission and will soon be sent to the Guardian Council. He said that the plan was approved in the Joint Commission and, based on the commission’s resolution, will be sent to the Guardian Council. In response to the question of whether the sessions were supposed to be held online and transparently, he said no, this plan falls under Article 85, and its details were reviewed in the Joint Commission. Nowrouzi’s remarks come as Nouri Qazaljeh had denied the formation of the commission’s sessions, and now Nowrouzi says that he was not present in the sessions. The Vice President of the Joint Commission also emphasized, in response to another question about whether the plan had many issues and if these issues were resolved in the new plan, that the problems have been moderated. He explained that there were many discussions in the commission, and Mr. Masri, the Vice President of the Parliament, was also present, and the commission’s member representatives signed it, and these issues were moderated. Foreign messaging services must also have representation; they cannot operate without representation.
