There is no reason to offer our cars at a loss

The CEO of Iran Khodro stated that mandatory pricing has caused losses for automotive shareholders, and according to Article 90 of the General Policies of Principle 44 of the Constitution, the government is obliged to compensate the producer’s losses. Our request from the officials is to cancel mandatory pricing.

Offering in the commodity exchange takes place at a price lower than the market, and studies show that 80% of those who act to buy cars in the exchange are real customers.

The lottery has caused tens of thousands of billions of tomans in losses for the automakers, and there is no reason for Iran Khodro to offer its products at mandated and loss-incurring prices.

The recent letter from the Competition Council has created ambiguity in society, and some have claimed that offering cars in the exchange has led to an increase in market prices, which is not technically and experientially supported or documented.
