Ukrainian officials: Russia targeted the port of Odessa with Shahed 136 drones

Ukrainian officials say Russia targeted the port of Odessa with a Shahed-136 drone.

Ukrainian officials say Russia targeted the southern Ukrainian port city of Odessa in overnight drone attacks. A local official said that most drones were shot down, but the rest attacked civilian infrastructure and caused fires.

No casualties have been reported, and the fire was brought under control.

Yuriy Kruk, the head of the Odessa regional military administration, said in a statement on Telegram that the enemy attacked the Odessa region overnight with a Shahed-136 drone.

Ukraine has accused Russia of using the Shahed-136 suicide drone to attack the country’s civilian infrastructure.

Iran has said that it provided a limited number of these types of drones to Russia before the Ukraine war.
