The rotating presidency of the United Nations Security Council for this November 2024 has been assigned to the United Kingdom, one of the five permanent members with veto power in this council.
The United Nations Security Council has 15 members, of which 5 members—namely the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, and China—are permanent, and the other 10 members are non-permanent. The presidency of the Security Council is rotational, lasting one month, and the head of the delegation of each country is recognized as the President of the United Nations Security Council.
