Illegal Vietnamese migrants drowned on their way to Taiwan

Taiwanese news sources have reported that over 12 Vietnamese citizens, whose bodies were found on Taiwan’s shores last month, were attempting to return to the country once again.

Previously, Taiwan’s immigration police had deported these individuals who had entered the country illegally.

According to these sources, the investigation into the route taken by this group of villagers from northern Vietnam shows that they entered China after crossing the mountainous border, then traveled to coastal areas by bus, and bought a boat for the final leg of their journey.

It is believed that the boat sank due to bad weather conditions.

Taiwan is facing a labor shortage, and illegal migrants from regional countries travel to this country for work.
