Voria Ghafouri’s Reaction to the Suspicious Poisonings of Students
Voria Ghafouri, a well-known football player, expressed regret in an Instagram story on the night of Monday, April 17th, about the continued suspicious poisoning of students and the lack of identification and arrest of those responsible for these events, which he referred to as a crime.
He further stated, ‘May God’s curse and the people’s condemnation be upon those whose negligence and inaction have allowed these tragedies to continue.’
The suspicious poisoning of students, mainly girls, in various cities of Iran began in early December 2022 and continues even after five months, while officials of the Islamic Republic have downplayed it as mere discomfort and have so far refrained from clarifying the situation.
