Varya Ghafari’s reaction to suspicious poisoning of students

Varya Ghafari, a well-known football player, expressed his regret in an Instagram story about the continued suspicious poisoning of students on Monday, April 17. He criticized the lack of identification and arrest of the perpetrators of these incidents, which he referred to as crimes.

He further stated, ‘May God curse and damn those who, through negligence and laziness, allowed these tragedies to continue.’

The suspicious poisoning of mostly female students in various cities of Iran started in early Azar 1401 (November 2022) and despite five months passing, it still continues. The authorities of the Islamic Republic have refrained from shedding light on the matter, downplaying it.
