The World Bank report on the Middle East region states that Iran will have the lowest economic growth this year.
In its latest report on the Middle East and North Africa, the World Bank has reported that Iran will have the lowest economic growth among these countries this year.
According to this report published on the World Bank’s website, Iran’s economic growth in 2023 is expected to be around 2 percent, which is on par with the crisis-hit country of Algeria in Africa and the lowest among other countries.
Based on the forecast of this international institution released on Friday, April 7, the average economic growth of Middle Eastern and North African countries this year will be 3 percent.
Additionally, while the average economic growth of these countries last year was 5.8 percent, Iran’s economic growth was 2.7 percent.
The report adds that while the average economic growth of these countries is expected to increase slightly to 3.1 percent next year, Iran’s economic growth will decrease to 1.8 percent.
