Iran claims to have achieved supersonic cruise missile technology

Tasnim news agency, close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported on Thursday, August 10th, that the Islamic Republic has acquired the technology to design and build supersonic cruise missiles.

The report states that a new generation of Iranian cruise missiles is currently undergoing its own testing, describing it as the beginning of a new chapter in Iran’s defense capabilities.

It is also said that the importance of acquiring this new technology lies in the significant increase in the speed of these missiles, making it difficult to counter them.

Tasnim wrote that the use of ramjet engines in sea-based cruise missiles and the acquisition of supersonic cruise missiles are important and noteworthy because in the event of any conflict, it will greatly accelerate the response capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran and also deprive the attacking forces of reaction time.
