Germany does not grant visas to Russian athletes.

Nancy Fazer, the Minister of State of Germany, threatened that if Russian athletes manage to regain permission to participate in international sports competitions, they will be deprived of entering Germany by imposing strict visa restrictions.

The decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to allow the return of Russian and Belarusian athletes to the world of sports has sparked numerous discussions and criticisms in the past weeks. Recently, during a meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland, the committee recommended to international federations that Russian and Belarusian athletes, whose participation in international competitions has been banned, be allowed to participate under special conditions as neutral athletes.
