Following the positive reception of the leaked film ‘Leila’s Brothers’ on social media, Sohrab Rouhani, the Director of the Office of Supervision over Film Exhibition at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, accused Saeed Rostaei, the director of this film, of intentionally smuggling it.

Recently, Saeed Rostaei expressed his astonishment on his Instagram account and expressed his hope for the release of a more complete version of the film, given the positive reaction towards it.

Now, the Director of the Office of Supervision over Film Exhibition at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has stated that if necessary, he will announce new and important dimensions regarding the release of this film on social networks. He also considers obtaining the production license for ‘Leila’s Brothers’ to be the responsibility of the previous government, which was approved and communicated after receiving several recommendations regarding the necessity of respecting the sanctity of parents and safeguarding the position of the family.
