Preventive measures for Thursday of Sur
The Executive Deputy of the Preventive Police announced that this institution has planned two branches of preventive measures and mission-related actions for Thursday of Sur.
Abbas Masoudi stated that monitoring social media in all sectors to maintain control over public space and prevent the creation of a tense atmosphere is among the preventive measures.
He added that the employees of stations and inspection points are trained to prevent the entry of flammable and explosive materials.
The Deputy emphasized that observing Islamic ethics, respecting citizens’ rights, and having necessary supervision over the arrest process of suspects are seriously emphasized in the agenda of the Preventive Police employees. Continuous supervision and control by commanders and monitoring units on the performance of the executing forces in this mission are in place.
During recent nationwide protests, numerous videos and films were released showing the violent and suppressive behavior of security forces, which sparked public anger and global protests.
