Elon Musk Receives License to Implant Chips in Human Brains

Elon Musk has obtained a license to implant chips in the human brain.

Neuralink, a company based in San Francisco owned by Elon Musk, announced on Wednesday that it has received permission from an independent expert council to implant chips in the human brain. Neuralink aims to help individuals with brain disabilities to move and communicate with their environment and others by placing a chip in their brain.

Another goal of implanting this chip in the human brain is to enable computer control through brain activity. The company initially conducted its experiments on monkeys and then on a pig.

The Guardian newspaper has reported that Neuralink is now seeking volunteers with paralysis to participate in a six-year human trial of this project.

Neuralink has stated that it is searching for patients who are paralyzed in all four limbs or have complete paralysis due to spinal cord injury. The chips are planned to be implanted in the part of the volunteers’ brain responsible for controlling movement, allowing them to type on a keyboard, for example, simply by thinking.
