Injuries and deaths reported on Thursday night in Chaharshanbe Suri

The Chief of Police in Tehran announced the arrest of eight individuals on Chaharshanbe Suri, February 23rd.

Commander Abbasali Mohammadian, while addressing the reporters present at the Tehran Law Enforcement Headquarters, stated that the presence of the police that people witnessed was aimed at ensuring their security, and fortunately, we have passed the night with fewer incidents.

Babak Namakshenas, the head of the Police Information Center in the capital, also stated that 1,420 calls were made to the police emergency center, 110, regarding Chaharshanbe Suri, which had a 12% decrease compared to the same period last year.

He added that the majority of the calls were from the eastern, southeastern, and southwestern regions.

Ghodratollah Mohammadi, the CEO of the Tehran Municipality Fire and Safety Services, stated on Wednesday evening that we had received 3,250 calls until 10 PM, which resulted in 130 missions.

He mentioned that these missions included eight vehicle fires, 35 fires in green spaces, and 12 fires in trash cans.
