Just minutes after the release of Siamak Namazi, Baquer Namazi, Morad Tahbaz, and two other undisclosed Americans, President Joe Biden thanked the leaders of the four countries.

In statements released by the White House, special thanks were given to Switzerland, South Korea, Qatar, and Oman for their help in facilitating this difficult diplomatic agreement over the course of several months.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken also expressed his joy on Twitter, writing that Emad Shargi, Siamak Namazi, Baquer Namazi, and two other American citizens have left Iran after enduring indescribable injustice and have returned home. We have no higher priority than bringing back Americans who have been unjustly detained.
