Collision between a Russian fighter jet and an American drone
A Russian Su-27 fighter jet collided with a US Army MQ-9 Reaper spy drone, causing it to crash into the Black Sea. The US deemed this action by Moscow as unsafe and condemned it.
According to a statement from the US Army, two Russian Su-27 fighter jets tracked this American spy drone and at 7:03 am Central European Time, one of these jets collided with the American drone, resulting in its crash. Prior to this collision, Russian fighter jets had repeatedly poured fuel on the MQ-9 drone and performed dangerous maneuvers in front of it.
General James Hacker, Commander of US Air Forces in Europe and Africa, stated that our MQ-9 drone was conducting its routine operations in international airspace when it was tracked and collided with by a Russian aircraft. This collision led to its complete destruction. This unsafe and unprofessional action by Russia could have potentially caused the crash of both aircraft.
