Spain’s plan to evacuate European citizens from Sudan

The Spanish government intends to evacuate European citizens from Sudan in the event of a possible seven-day ceasefire in the country’s civil war. The Sudanese military announced on Friday, April 21, the first day of Ordibehesht, through a Facebook post that a three-day ceasefire will be implemented starting from Friday, one week before the end of the month of Ramadan, to celebrate the holiday. However, the exact timing for the potential ceasefire has not been announced by the Sudanese army. There has also been no confirmation from the semi-military forces known as Rapid Reaction Forces.
