Statement by dozens of doctors for collective action on poisoning incidents
Dozens of doctors, retired doctors, and healthcare activists in Iran have called on their colleagues to take collective action regarding suspicious poisonings primarily in girls’ schools in the country.
These individuals, through the publication of joint statements addressed to the executive board of the national medical organization, have requested the members of this board to promptly respond to us and our people by taking collective action to prevent further tragedy.
The statement asks, isn’t it the responsibility of the officials of the medical system, health and treatment, medical education, and legal medicine to identify the real causes by establishing joint teams and address incidents such as suspicious deaths, and provide scientific and explicit explanations for the causes of these accidents, thus restoring their credibility to the community?
Despite three months passing since the start of these suspicious poisonings among students, the information and security institutions have not clarified the cause and factors of these poisonings.
