Teachers gather in various cities in Iran

Following the call of the Cultural Advocacy Group of Tehran Province, teachers in various cities in Iran held protest gatherings

Simultaneously, Hengaw News Agency reported that Friba Zendkarimi, a contractual teacher at the Education and Training Office in Sanandaj, was arrested after being summoned to the intelligence office of the city on the evening of April 5th

The channel of the Coordinating Council of Teacher Trade Unions announced on Friday, April 6th, that teachers in Kermanshah, Malayer, Hamedan, Ahvaz, Mazandaran, and Neyshabur held protest gatherings in front of the Education and Training Office of the city or province, chanting slogans such as ‘Fight for your rights, shout for your freedom, teacher!’

According to this report, government agents in Karaj prevented the teachers’ gathering and dispersed them with their large presence

The Friday gathering of teachers was held with demands such as the release of detained teachers, amending the ranking regulations, and receiving six months of overtime pay by the end of the New Year holidays
