Sanctioning several Chinese companies accused of assisting in the production of Iranian drones
The US Treasury has imposed sanctions on a network based in China, accusing it of helping Iran produce drones. This network includes 5 companies and one individual who are accused of supporting and supplying materials for the production of Iranian drones.
These companies and the individual, operating as a network, are accused of sending thousands of components to the Iranian Aerospace Industries Company. These components are used in the construction of drones.
The US Treasury claims that this company has used these components to produce 136 drones, which Iran has used to attack oil tankers and export to Russia.
The US has also imposed sanctions on 39 companies in a separate round of sanctions, stating that these companies and entities have created a banking network that facilitates the Islamic Republic’s access to the global financial system.
Due to the sanctions imposed on Iran, financial transfers with Iranian banks are subject to restrictions against Iran.
