In the recent devastating earthquake in Turkey, search and rescue dogs deployed from various countries around the world saved the lives of hundreds of people. Last month, the Ministry of Defense of Mexico announced that at least one search and rescue dog sent from their country to Turkey was killed while rescuing earthquake survivors.

The recent earthquake in southern Turkey and northern Syria was one of the most severe natural disasters in the region, measuring 7.7 in magnitude.
