The execution sentence of Sahand Noormohammadzadeh has been cancelled

The death sentence of Sohnd Noormohammadzadeh has been revoked.

He has been convicted of fighting and sentenced to exile and imprisonment.

According to reports from Iranian media, the revolutionary court has cancelled the death sentence of Sohnd Noormohammadzadeh, a bodybuilder and one of the detainees of the nationwide protests. However, the charge of fighting against him still remains, and for this reason, Mr. Noormohammadzadeh has been sentenced to 10 years of exile in Kerman province’s Kahanuj, 5 years of imprisonment for participating in gatherings and conspiracy, and 1 year of imprisonment for disturbing public order.

It is worth mentioning that one of the underlying charges for the accusation of fighting against Sohnd Noormohammadzadeh in the relevant court was related to the burning of an occupied trash can, which at that time, in mid-November last year, faced significant reactions.

Hamed Ahmadi, the chosen lawyer of Mr. Noormohammadzadeh, has stated that he will protest against this new sentence.
