We did not achieve over 60% enrichment, says head of Atomic Energy Organization

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization said we have not achieved enrichment above 60 percent.

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization stated that enrichment above 60 percent has not occurred and the issue of uranium 84 percent has been closed.

According to Iranian media, Mohammad Eslami said in the report to the Board of Governors, it was explicitly stated that they have observed 84 percent particles, but after further investigation and inspections, it was decided that the criterion for measurement should be the reserves derived from the production line.

Mr. Eslami emphasized that the Islamic Republic is committed to the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

The International Atomic Energy Agency recently asked Iran to clarify about the effects of 837 percent uranium in a report.

This percentage of uranium purity, close to 90 percent enrichment for atomic weapons production, Iran attributed it to the deposition of radioactive materials in centrifuges and the mistake of the agency’s inspectors.
