Riyadh gets closer to another enemy of America

The President of Venezuela traveled to Saudi Arabia on Monday, June 5th, and his media team announced that the trip was aimed at strengthening political and diplomatic alliances and expanding cooperation in the energy sector.

Nicolas Maduro, who arrived in Saudi Arabia after attending the swearing-in ceremony of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, was welcomed by the officials of the country.

During his trip to Saudi Arabia, he is scheduled to hold talks with King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Reuters and Associated Press described Mr. Maduro’s trip to Saudi Arabia as another step by Riyadh towards getting closer to another enemy of America.

According to Reuters, Saudi Arabia has continued its efforts to form new coalitions at the global level by strengthening relations with China and Russia and improving relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and Syria, and inviting Nicolas Maduro.
