Special Assistant Putin’s Trip to Tehran
Iranian media report that Igor Levitin, special assistant to Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, has arrived in Tehran on a two-day trip since last night.
According to reports, Mr. Levitin is scheduled to meet with Mohammad Mokhber, the First Deputy to the President of Iran, and Mehrdad Bazrpash, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, today. Tomorrow, he will also have a meeting with Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Tasnim News Agency states that Igor Levitin will discuss the North-South Rail Corridor project and Russia’s participation in it with Iranian officials during his meetings.
